About the Program
Producing electronic music, designing sounds, scoring films, recording and mixing audio – is this your world? In the Audio Design (B.A.) bachelor's program, you'll learn to shape the world with sounds, noises, and music.
Designed sound surrounds us in almost every area of our lives. In the Audio Design bachelor's program, you'll explore the physical properties of sound and learn to technically design and manipulate it. You'll produce soundtracks for various media such as films, animations, and computer games, examine the powerful effect of sound in different environments, and become familiar with the entire acoustic communication chain – from the sound source to the recipient.
We offer the program as either a completely German-language or completely English-language variant. Specialize in composition, software development, or music production and benefit from international networking and a creative network.

Audio designers compose music of various genres, create digital sound designs and acoustic special effects, realize voice productions, and lead sound recordings with bands and ensembles. They write songs, orchestrate their own arrangements, and develop digital musical instruments and apps. Audio designers work freelance or employed in a variety of industries.
