With its focus on "trans-traditional creative musicking," the programme fosters deep musical understanding, technical virtuosity and expressiveness, enabling students to develop into highly professional musicians and pursue a successful career.
The 6-semester bachelor's programme creates a broad foundation in artistic practice and research, in outreach and self-management. Alongside the musical and sonic practice that students bring with them and further deepen during their studies, the curriculum focuses on interdisciplinary, trans-traditional artistic practices, aesthetics and research.
The focus is on one's own artistic work in cross-tradition, cross-genre and cross-discipline contexts: as artistic-aesthetic-creative as well as performative sound design – including explicitly analog, digital, intermodal and installative sound practices.
